Content is defined as the genre or topic of a resource other than a Scripture-related resource. Devotional, theological, and religious instruction resources are described here, not in Scripture Type.

AL Alphabet Alphabet and/or orthography instruction or description
CF Culture and folklore Culture description and folklore; materials describing traditional activities, events, practices or tales, legends, riddles, etc.
CR Crafts and handwork Coloring book, puzzle, craft or handiwork design or instruction, etc.
CT Catechism Catechism or religious instruction
CV Civics Material on civics (government, citizenship, etc.)
DV Devotional Devotional work possibly including or discussing Scripture, but primarily with meditation and/or application
EV Evangelistic Material primarily aimed at persuading its audience of the truth of the gospel or encouraging evanglistic work
FL Foreign language instruction Material relating to instruction in a foreign language. Recommended database use: employ separate elements for topic-language (the language being studied) and language-of-material (the language in which instruction is offered) 
HH Health and hygiene Health and hygiene instructional or informational material
HI History Material relating events, general description of the past, etc., that are widely accepted as true or factually based (in contrast to legendary stories)
LT Literacy Literacy instructional material
